Matonni 1/2 Maraton

19.5.2018 se naše firma PTSW zúčastnila 6. ročníku běžeckého závodu „Matonni 1/2 Maraton“ v Karlových Varech, závodu, oceněného Zlatou známkou Mezinárodní asociace atletických federací IAAF. Reprezentovala nás dvojice ve štafetovém běhu 2Run (10+11km) - Ladislav Luprich a Miloš Hutira. Kromě nich se postavilo na start bezmála 4000 závodníků.

19.5.2018 PTSW participated in the 6th "Matonni 1/2 Maraton" racetrack in Karlovy Vary, a gold medal of the International Association of Athletic Federations IAAF. It represented us in the relay race 2Run (10 + 11km) - Ladislav Luprich and Miloš Hutira. In addition to them, 4,000 racers started to start at the start.

Two years succesful operation at WBM

The brass production at Wah Brass Mills, Wah Cant. in Pakistan was modernized by Vitkovice Group. PTSW was responsible for electric and automation of 4-Hi reversing cold rolling mill and Milling line. During the meeting in Prague the WBM representatives confirmed the achievement of required production and quality parameters. Additional training of specialists took place and next projects activities have been discussed.

Commissioning of Gazprom project finished

Line for welded tubes was delivered by SMS Meer to Gazprom global energy company at Kostroma, Russia. PTSW together with Nidec GmbH delivered complete electrical equipment and complex automation system. Commissioning and fine tuning of complete line was successfully finished by the end of 2015. The line is stably producing for several month without any disturbance.
Similar project is now under the commissioning at Huta Labedy in Poland. 

Profile and Flatness optimization at ArecolorMittal Saldanha Steel

Saldanha's CSP hot strip mill production mix has variety of thicknesses starting at 1mm as well as wide range of final width. Significant amount of production needed to be process at Temper Mill in order to remove unflatness created at hot strip mill. Everyday required cost savings requested only one set of work roll shape profile prepared at grinding shop. Additionally, occurrence of edge ripples and butterfly profile shape at 1mm thick product was observed.

Without possibility of using CVC rolls there was limited number of actuators to optimize profile and flatness control. After PTSW has upgraded Level 2 process model, proposed new optimized work roll grinding shape, adjusted loading plans and provide some more process control adjustments, the significant profile and flatness performance improvements were achieved. Even after the successful process improvements, PTSW team is still monitoring the production and provide support to Saldanha operation team.

Brass 4-Hi Reversing Cold Rolling Mill modernization at POF, Wah

The brass production at POF, Wah in Pakistan is modernized by Vitkovice Group. PTSW and TS Plzen cooperating on 4-Hi reversing cold rolling mill, where PTSW is responsible for electric and automation. Present Ward Leonard drive system used for main motor and uncoiler and coiler motors will be replaced by new Siemens SINAMICS DC MASTER DC converters with total load of 1.200 kW. New auxiliary AC motors will be driven by SINAMICS G120 frequency converters. Electro-mechanical screw down will be replaced by hydraulic cylinders with new thickness controller developed by PTSW.

New Integrated Level 2 system for Steel Making Shop in India

PTSW received order for new Integrated Level 2 Steel Making Shop system at Bhushan Power and Steel in Rengali, India. The solution covers 4x EAF, 4x LF, 1x VD and 1x Billet Caster. Main functionality consists of communication with existing Level 1 system, Production and Process data management and visualization, Metallurgical process models and Integration with ERP SAP R3.

The main goal of the project is to improve production quality and to reduce production costs using PTSW solution and integration of Steel Making Shop production with downstream processing of CSP caster and mill as well as with Production planning department.

CSP Plant integration with SAP successfully in operation since May, 2013 at BPSL, Rengali, Orissa. The solution implemented by PTSW includes online process control communication of existing production systems of CSP slab continuous casting and rolling mill with newly implemented SAP functionality through special Gateway server.

Hot and Cold Rolling tests successfully finished

Both Hot and Cold rolling tests were successfully finished during trial operation on laboratory mill at COMTES FHT a.s. Dobřany, Czech Republic. PTSW provided complete electric and automation system for the laboratory mill supplied by První železářská společnost Kladno, s. r. o. to COMTES FHT a.s. The project was finished in very short time within few month from signing the contract to first hot tests. The PTSW scope of supply was main motors and drives, electrical switchboards, control system including design, implementation, erection, cabling and commissioning. The main features of automation system consists of hydraulic capsules control including Automatic Gap Control (AGC), Thickness Control, Tension Control, Pass schedule automatic execution, Material tracking, Data acquisition and Logging.

Automatic communication between new EVRAZ Lab and L3 system SRHV in operation!

PTSW has succesfuly finished the automation project in steelworks EVRAZ VITKOVICE, Ostrava, CZ.

New EVRAZ Lab equipment Chemistry analyzer, Charpy hammer and Tear testing machine were integrated within L3 System SRHV.

This automatic communication brings quick processing and eliminate user mistakes. The system has been developed to support this kind of machines and tasks in broader range.
